I grew up in the city of Rib Lake and graduated from Rib Lake High School in 2002. I met my husband, Jim, when I was a senior in high school. I graduated college from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in May of 2007 with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education, Grades 1-9. In October of 2007, I was a long-term substitute for the Special Education teacher at Stetsonville Elementary School. After that, I was offered another long-term substituting position teaching Early Childhood Special Education for the remainder of the 2007-2008 school year. It was then that I realized that Early Childhood Special Education was my calling. I never thought I wanted to work with the youngest of our school children but I couldn't have been more mistaken. I was offered the position of Early Childhood Special Education teacher through the Medford Area Public School District for the 2008-2009 school year. Seeing as how I didn't have degree to work with three, four, five, and six year old children, I went back to school in addition to teaching. I received my Early Childhood Special Education certification through Norda, Inc. in 2009. It was also in 2009 that Jim and I were married. In June of 2011, we welcomed our daughter Saige into the world. And in February of 2014, we welcomed our son Silas into the world! Parenting has been the most challenging yet most rewarding thing I have ever experienced. We currently live on my husband's family farm outside of Stestonville. Below are some pictures of my family! :)
